French designer Roland Mouret presented his first collection bearing his name in 1998 after spending years working as a model and music video stylist, as well as a stint designing for streetwear brand, People Corporation. In 2003, he introduced knitwear, jeans, swimwear and accessories. Mouret left his company in 2006, shortly after designing his now iconic Galaxy dress, due to creative difference with his partner, but continued to design under a different label, RM by Roland Mouret. He debuted his first men's collection in 2010 and bought back his trademark for spring 2011, once again presenting his collections under the Roland Mouret label.
