German-born designer Robert Geller came to be known for his work at Cloak, a men's wear label he helped revamp with Russian designer Alexandre Plokhov. He stayed at Cloak from 2002 to 2004, winning the Ecco Domani award in 2003 the CFDA/Vogue grant before leaving to work on the launch of his short-lived women's line, Herald. In 2007, he debuted his men's wear collection at New York Fashion Week and went on to be named "Best New Menswear Designer" by GQ in 2009 and the CFDA Swarovski Award winner for Menswear the following year.
"If you wear the right thing and walk out of your door knowing that you look great, it can really change your day. To make people feel like that should be the aim of every designer."
