Original Penguin was established 1955 with a golf shirt introduced by US-based undergarment manufacturer, Munsingwear. Now known as "the 55," the iconic polo shirt helped garner a notable client base that included golf icon Arnold Palmer and legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra. In 1996, Original Penguin by Munsingwear was purchased by Perry Ellis International.
