Named after Miuccia Prada, Miu Miu is a younger, more accessible offshoot from the legendary designer. Launched in 1993, Miu Miu exists today as a stand-alone brand, differentiating itself from the Prada fashion house founded by her late grandfather, by adding distinct edge and frivolity (think geometric heels, lace trapeze and vinyl sheath dresses, mirrored appliqués and sequins). Since its inception, Miu Miu's scope has expanded to include bags, shoes, eyewear, and fragrances.
"Fashion fosters clichés of beauty, but I want to tear them apart."
