Michael Stars is the brainchild of South Africa-native Michael Cohen and Suzanne Lerner (whom he would later marry). Launched in 1986 in California, Michael Stars is known for pioneering the chic-casual tee trend of the nineties by dressing up basic layering pieces with his signature ultra-soft "shine" fabric and body-flattering fits. The brand has since expanded beyond just the basics to offer a full range of women's knits, outerwear, and accessories.
