English designer Matthew Williamson launched his eponymous label in 1997 after stints at Marni and Monsoon. He presented his first collection during London Fashion Week that September, generating buzz after Kate Moss, Jade Jagger, and Helena Christensen walked the runway. In 2004, Williamson was named Elle's Designer of the Year and in 2010, he introduced a men's wear collection. A proponent of color and bold, abstract prints, Williamson has collaborated with a number of brands including Ballantyne, Bulgari, Camilla Skovgaard and Pucci, where he served as creative director from 2005-2008.
