French-Canadian designer Lloyd Klein opened Lloyd Klein Couture in Paris in 1989. After two seasons, he became head designer at Grès, where he stayed until 1995 before shifting his focus back into his namesake brand. In 2000 he relocated to the United States and came to be known as a celebrity designer, frequently dressing stars for the red carpet.
