Founders Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra learned the art of dressmaking from their grandmothers who, coincidentally, both worked for designer Norman Norell in the 1960s. But it wasn't until 1994, when Costello moved from Pennsylvania to New York City, that he and New York native Tagliapietra would meet. Ten years later they founded their company and showed their first collection at NYFW in the spring of 2005.
