Alexander Wang famously left Parsons after only two years to pursue the launch of his own label in 2005. In 2007, he brought his first full women's collection to the runway and instantly became a favorite among the industry's top editors, models, and retail buyers. His ability to concoct collections that pull together the best of Parisian chic and the true grit of New York City landed him in the creative director's seat at the house of Balenciaga in 2012.
